Global Switch, the leading owner and operator of large scale cloud and carrier neutral data centre space in Europe and Asia-Pacific, has commenced construction of the last two stages of its Sydney East data centre following a pre-commitment made by a leading cloud provider. The new data centre is located on Global Switch’s Sydney campus adjacent to the Sydney Central Business District (CBD) and next to its existing Sydney West data centre.

The data centre industry is ideally placed to reap the rewards of the growing high performance computing (HPC) market according to Greg McCulloch, CEO of Aegis Data.
