ZenFi takes Manhattan

Sabey Data Center Properties says that ZenFi, New York’s carrier-neutral fronthaul and backhaul dark fiber provider, has signed a licensing agreement to support its expanding operations and provide dark fiber connectivity to existing and future tenants at Intergate.Manhattan, Sabey’s data center at 375 Pearl Street in lower Manhattan.

Equinix has appointed John Hughes to its Board of Directors following the close of the TelecityGroup acquisition on January 15, 2016. Hughes was previously Executive Chairman of TelecityGroup.

Worldwide Cloud IT infrastructure spend grows 23.0%

According to the IDC Worldwide Quarterly Cloud IT Infrastructure Tracker, vendor revenue from sales of infrastructure products (server, storage, and Ethernet switch) for cloud IT, including public and private cloud, grew by 23.0% year over year to $7.6 billion in the third quarter of 2015 (3Q15).

Ingram Micro has extended the availability of IBM Cloud to five additional Cloud Marketplaces around the globe, providing companies increased access to infrastructure capabilities from SoftLayer. Building on its existing distribution relationship with Ingram Micro in the U.S., IBM Cloud is now available through the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the U.K., with plans to extend the offering into additional markets soon.
