Virtus says that construction work has commenced on LONDON2; its new flagship data centre in West London, designed to meet the growing demand for scalable, reliable, on-demand colocation services. The data centre will deploy a new ground breaking cooling technology which will dramatically decrease energy consumption, bringing site power usage effectiveness (PUE) to below 1.2 and delivering substantial TCO reductions to Virtus’ clients.

Interxion joins Government-backed Data Centre Carbon Footprint reduction project

INTERXION HOLDING NV has joined a Government backed scheme to help UK DC operators reduce their Carbon Footprint. Interxion will join Alquist’s data centre temperature monitoring pilot, supported by almost £1m of government funding. Interxion, will also work with Schneider Electric and a major services company.
