Ark selected as G-Cloud iii Provider of Data Centres

Ark, one of the UK’s leading providers of data centres, has been chosen to provide their high security, low carbon solutions as part of the G-Cloud iii Framework, the latest iteration of G-Cloud.

Ark has been selected to supply specialist Cloud Services (under Lot 4) allowing public sector organisations to purchase data centre services with the minimum of disruption, quickly and easily via the CloudStore.

The CloudStore was established to encourage the adoption of cloud computing by the UK Government and has recently been updated following feedback to evolve as the new CloudStore.

Stephen Hall, Sales & Marketing Director of Ark, said: “This is excellent news in the wake of the Public Expenditure Cabinet Committee’s agreement to put in place a Public Cloud First mandate for central government. Ark is naturally looking forward to supporting public sector customers who are seeking expertise not only operation excellence, but highly secure, low carbon and cost-effective data centre and cloud solutions through the G-Cloud framework .”

Ark has headquarters in Wiltshire, and has two dedicated, state-of-the-art data centre campus locations in Farnborough, Hampshire and Corsham, Wiltshire, with additional offices in London. Ark’s data centres, known as Arks, are modular, tailored or bespoke facilities with infrastructure solutions to meet the exact requirements of the customer. Customers can lease by Data Room, Aisle or Suite depending on technical and operational requirements.
