Tim Griffin takes the lead for Dell UK

UK Vice President and Managing Director role created to support organisational transformation and drive local market momentum.

Dell has announced the appointment of Tim Griffin as UK Vice President and Managing Director, leading over 2000 team members at 17 sites across the country. A Dell veteran, Tim was previously the Global lead of the company’s Displays and Client Peripherals business, based out of Singapore, and prior to this held the position of Global Vice President of Services & Solutions for the Consumer, Small and Medium Business.

“We have a fantastic team here in the UK and a great company culture. My role is focused on making sure we have the right organisational structure, tools and expertise in place to drive market momentum and continue to build our customer base. From an internal perspective, I also want to make sure that Dell UK continues to be a great place to work and that our teams’ excitement and spirit extends to every customer interaction,” said Tim Griffin.

Following a reorganisation of its global business structure, Dell has simplified its sales organisation by creating a single country focus which ensures closer alignment to local customers and better access to resources. The new structure is designed to support the on-going transformation of the company to a leading end-to-end solutions provider.

“As we continue to make solid progress in driving our business transformation, we recognised the value in appointing a strong leader across our UK organisation. Tim has a critical role to play in growing our business amidst a challenging climate, and I am already seeing the very positive impact he is making,” said Aongus Hegarty, President, Dell EMEA.

Prior to working at Dell, Tim held a number of senior sales and marketing roles at NCR in APJ, including Area General Manager for NCR India; and six years at the BBC leading Commercial Operations for their Services & Technology Division. He holds a degree in Management and Psychology and an MBA from the University of Cardiff.
