comSysto selects the MapR Big Data Platform for critical software development

Enterprise-grade features shorten development time and provide improved performance for Hadoop and NoSQL projects.

comSysto, a highly-regarded software development company, has selected the MapR platform to underpin its Apache Hadoop development processes and analytics software solutions. comSysto will also begin hosting MapR certified training courses.

comSysto provides software and consultancy across a wide range of areas including Web and Mobility, Big Data processing and lean and agile process transformation. From its headquarters in Munich, Germany, comSysto delivers high value projects to a range of clients including Telefonica Deutschland, 1&1 and KVB. comSysto will also be a certified training facility for MapR training courses, the first of which will be a MapR M5 admin course held in Munich the 10th - 12th June.

Faced with increased client demand for processing Big Data workloads, comSysto has selected MapR as its preferred platform for Hadoop development and service delivery both internally and for its growing client base.

“It is critical that we use a fast and stable Hadoop platform so that our developers can focus on creating innovative software instead of working around the limitations of the platform,” explains Tomislav Zorc, Managing Director for comSysto, “We have tested the available Hadoop distributions and, for us, the features and performance offered by MapR allow us to shorten our development cycle and provide solutions that meet the needs of our enterprise clients.”

In Zorc’s view, MapR has the dependability, performance and manageability that customers are looking for as Hadoop applications move from early adopters into full production within larger organisations. MapR brings unprecedented dependability, ease-of-use and enhancements to Hadoop, NoSQL, database and streaming applications within a unified platform.

“For our partners like comSysto, MapR instantly provides critical features that would normally require huge amounts of development resource to replicate,” explains Zeljko Dodlek, Sales Director for MapR across the DACH (Germany, Switzerland & Austria) region. “With MapR, developers can focus on delivering high value solutions with the assurance that MapR will provide enhancements such as high availability, seamless integration with Apache HBase, advanced data replication and many other unique advantages.”
