Atos joins the Cloud Industry Forum

Leading IT services provider becomes latest member of industry body.

The Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) has announced that Atos, an international IT services company, has become the latest Cloud Service Provider (CSP) to join its fast-growing ranks.

The Cloud Industry Forum was established in 2009 to provide transparency through certification to a Code of Practice for credible CSPs and to assist end users in determining core information necessary to enable them to adopt these services.

Atos is an international information technology services company with annual revenue of EUR 8.8 billion, employing 76,400 staff in 47 countries. Serving a global client base, it delivers hi-tech transactional services, consulting and technology services, systems integration and managed services, to a broad range of market sectors.

Ursula Morgenstern, CEO at Atos UK & Ireland, said: “Atos is delighted to join the CIF and we look forward to working closely with them and their members to improve standards of accountability, transparency and capability in the industry. Atos, through our Canopy branded Products and Solutions, offer our clients flexible and scalable Cloud solutions tailored to their specific business needs. We work hard to ensure the end user gets a service that delivers business value, is easy to use and reliable – all things which are fully aligned to the aims of the CIF.”

Alex Hilton, CIF’s Chief Executive, added: “Atos’ customer-centric approach to selling cloud services makes them a very welcome addition to CIF. Our members are directly responsible for the shape, format and strategy of the Cloud Industry Forum, in advancing trust between consumers and providers of cloud services. We have every confidence that this will be a successful relationship for both parties and we look forward to working with Atos as we pursue our ambition of bringing business consumers and suppliers of cloud Services closer together in a trusted and sustainable ecosystem.”
