Legal appointment at Intechnology

A major provider of Cloud and IT services to some of the UK’s biggest law firms has further bolstered its expertise and foothold within the legal sector by making a new key appointment.

InTechnology, which provides managed data and hosting services to a national portfolio of law firms, has appointed Gary Thomas as its new Client Account Manager.

Gary, who has over 20 years’ IT experience mainly within the legal sector, joins the company from Irwin Mitchell where he was Head of IT Operations. Here, he had both partner status and overall management of Irwin Mitchell’s IT and telecoms infrastructure.

Commenting on his new role, Gary said: “I’m excited about being part of an innovative company which is at the forefront of technology, and really understands the IT and telecoms needs of firms operating within the legal sector. I already have experience of working with InTechnology in previous roles, so have a strong understanding of its culture and unique approach.”

“As part of my business development role, I’ll be working closely with law firms to offer them strategic advice on how they can establish a next-generation IT infrastructure. A new approach to IT and telecoms could enable firms to transform their business and significantly reduce costs. It’s a challenge I can’t wait to get my teeth into.”

Mark Halpin, Head of New Business and Partnerships for InTechnology, added: “Law firms are increasingly recognising the importance of Cloud services and being able to store critical customer and commercial data across multiple sites, both globally and across the UK.

“Having someone with Gary’s experience and track record in this sector is therefore pivotal, as it greatly expands the levels of IT expertise and knowledge we’re able to offer legal clients operating within the industry.”
