cPacket looks to UK and European markets as part of growth strategy

Company draws on extensive expertise in network optimisation with market leading network performance and monitoring solutions. cPacket, the pervasive network intelligence leader, has announced it is set to target the UK and European markets as part of its 2013/14 growth strategy.

The California based company delivers solutions that radically simplify network traffic monitoring and data centre performance management. It has helped customers, including the world’s largest data centres, service providers, financial institutions, exchanges and government organisations, to gain a real insight into the performance of modern networks. cPacket is looking towards an increased focus on the UK and European markets, building on its already enviable client list including the London and German stock exchanges and several European blue chip organisations, as a vital new avenue for continued growth.


Its products include the cVu traffic monitoring switches, cTap probes and SPIFEE (Stream & Packet Inspection Front End Environment) software dashboard, which allows for centralised configuration, reporting and control of distributed deployments. At the heart of all of its products sits its Algorithmic Fabric chip, which allows cPacket to guarantee complete packet and flow inspection at full-line rates in any kind of network traffic conditions.


Rony Kay, founder and CEO of cPacket networks explained: “Unfortunately, in today’s environment, network operators spend the vast majority of their time trying to locate relevant information. Instead, it would be more efficient to invest that time analysing and solving actual problems. Our technology eliminates the bottlenecks caused by legacy monitoring architecture and allows IT managers to find and act upon network problems before user experiences are negatively impacted.


“Until now, network professionals have invested enormous time and effort in storing large amounts of traffic on disk, and then trying to post-process that data to analyse network performance and applications problems. This is both very costly and doesn’t scale to the massive amounts of traffic in today’s network environments. Moreover, too much time and too many resources are spent collecting unusable data, instead of analysing and solving actual problems. Our goal is to enable network professionals to surgically search and find what they need instantly.”


On the cPacket UK and European growth plan, Kay commented, “London is a vibrant and thriving business hub and, given the success we have had across North America and the high concentration of finance, advance technology and multinational corporations in the capital, greater investment in the UK market is the obvious solution to our European ambitions.
