There are just eight Platinum accredited HP resellers. The Platinum accreditation is reserved to recognise partners who show expertise across the board with HP. To achieve the accreditation, partners must demonstrate technical and sales excellence in personal systems, printers, servers, storage, security, networking and software, in addition to consistently meeting HP’s sales targets.
Peter Smith, Softcat’s HP enterprise group business manager, said: “I’m delighted that HP has officially recognised our investment in this partnership. Over the past year we’ve trained 50 sales staff and 25 technical engineers in order to get them to the top level of HP expertise. This distinguishes us from our competitors in the channel and gives our customers increased confidence – they know that when they buy HP through Softcat, they’re getting sales and technical support with industry leading expertise. The Softcat–HP partnership is stronger than ever, and it’s our customers who see the benefits.”
Colin Brown, managing director said, “I’m thrilled with the accreditation, but we’re not getting complacent; HP is a long-established partner and it’s important that we maintain our expertise on their products.” He added, “Our staff have done us proud by achieving brilliant results in the training exams they have taken, which has enabled them to sell and support the entire HP range. It’s been worth the investment to be able to give our customers added confidence in our services.”
Softcat won the HP enterprise Group Excellence Award for EMEA as a result of increased revenues across the portfolio. This year’s partner awards also include Red Hat’s ‘Stronger Together’ award, Sophos’ Mid-Market Partner of the Year and Mimecast’s Premier Partner of the Year.
