With an Infinera Intelligent Transport Network, Rostelecom has the flexibility to offer a wide range of 10, 40 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) services to their customers. Infinera’s 500 Gb/s super-channel technology provides high-speed service delivery and high scalability for the multi-terabit transport network. The Intelligent Transport Network architecture is based on the Infinera DTN-X platform which uses the industry’s only commercially available 500 Gb/s coherent super-channel technology. The DTN-X enables service providers to scale to terabits, integrating DWDM optical transmission and 5 Tb/s non-blocking OTN switching into a single platform. As an integrated solution, DTN-X is designed to utilize the network resources more efficiently compared to conventional WDM architectures. Intelligent software combined with this converged platform automates manual operations to lower operational costs and enable faster service delivery.
