Talend appoints Mike Tuchen as CEO

Software industry veteran steps in to lead integration vendor through next expansion phase.

Talend has announced the appointment of Mike Tuchen as its new CEO. Formerly the CEO of Rapid7, Tuchen will be responsible for driving Talend’s operations as it continues to expand its business and to become a trusted partner for organizations that want to derive value from all their data assets.
Prior to joining Talend, Tuchen served as the CEO of Rapid7 and led the company as it grew from $5 million to $50 million in revenue through an exponential growth, dramatically expanding its marketing, sales, partnerships and product line. A former Microsoft executive and seasoned marketing and product strategist, he also served as the General Manager of Microsoft's SQL Server Marketing team, helping grow that business from $1.5 billion to $2.5 billion. Tuchen is also a board member of ThousandEyes and Paradigm4.

“Talend has experienced incredible and consistent growth since its inception and is uniquely positioned to help companies of all sizes take full advantage of their data assets, regardless of how they need to use them,” said Mike Tuchen. “I am amazed by what the team has accomplished and I am really looking forward to driving the next stage of growth for the organization.”

Former CEO Jim Foy will hand over the operational responsibilities to Tuchen and continue to serve on the Talend Board.

“As investors in Talend, we are very grateful to Jim for his stewardship of the company and his contributions to its success,” said Bernard Liautaud, General Partner at Balderton Capital. “We are extremely pleased to welcome Mike, a proven leader with an impressive track record, as the new CEO of Talend. We enthusiastically look forward to him driving the continued growth of the company.”
