Skyscape Cloud Services has received the VMware vCloud Service Provider Partner Award at VMworld 2013. The award was presented by Pat Gelsinger, CEO of VMware, at the Partner Day ceremony hosted in Barcelona on October 14th.
“We are very honoured to have been recognised for this accolade, which is a testament to the hard work of our dedicated team and our use of VMware technologies,” said Phil Dawson, CEO of Skyscape Cloud Services. “As a company, we have achieved a great deal in a relatively short space of time and remain fully committed to continuing to deliver innovative, agile and cost-effective cloud solutions to our growing number of customers and partners.”
Skyscape has been a major supplier to the G-Cloud programme since its launch in February 2012 and has won a number of high-profile public sector contracts through the Framework to date. The company has experienced rapid growth and recently launched its Channel Partner Programme in August 2013, which was established to recruit channel partners to work with Skyscape under the latest iteration of the G-Cloud Framework – G-Cloud 4.
Dawson continued: “There have been many changes in the industry in the last 18 months, due to the truly transformational impact that the G-Cloud Framework has had, together with initiatives such as the Public Cloud First policy, which are succeeding in changing attitudes towards Government IT.
