Four gongs for Clearview

Cloud services consultant business passes important security audits for PCI, HIPAA, SSAE 16 SOC1 and SOC2

Getting certified as secure to handle sensitive data such as money transfers of individuals’ health records is always a good target for many businesses, especially if they provide cloud services, and that is what Texas-based Cloud, Colocation and IT Consulting firm, Clearview, has achieved. It has just announced it has passed audits for important US security standards PCI, HIPAA, SSAE 16 SOC1 and SOC2.

Each of these four standards are generally considered to be important markers of the security management capabilities of a business, so obtaining all of them is a significant step for the company.

“Clearview serves a growing variety of firms who benefit from our audit and compliance expertise. We maintain compliance at every data center touchpoint to enable our client’s success.”

PCI DSS is the attestation of compliance for service providers in the Payment Card Industry (PCI) according to the Data Security Standard, and is generally considered something of a `gold card’ in handling credit card transaction data.

HIPAA is the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, which sets the standard for protecting patient data, ensuring all physical, network and process security measures are in place and followed.

SSAE 16 is the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16, reporting on controls at service organisations. SOC 1 is for companies performing outsourced services that affect the financial statements of another company. SOC 2 focuses on a business’s non-financial reporting controls as they relate to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of a system.

According to TJ Karklins, Clearview CEO, “Clearview serves a growing variety of firms who benefit from our audit and compliance expertise. We maintain compliance at every data center touchpoint to enable our client’s success.”

The companyprovides multiple datacentre and cloud computing platforms located in Dallas and Central Texas, and supports Texas, national and international operations.  Its platform enables enterprise class hosting, colocation, cloud delivery, disaster recovery and data center migration solutions.
