The annual SVC ceremony rewards and honours products, projects, services, companies and teams operating in the cloud, virtualisation and storage sectors. Awards recognise the achievements of end-users, channel partners and vendors alike, from the past 12 months.
Roger Walton, VP EMEA, X-IO said: “It has been a successful year for X-IO, and this is a true testament to the high performance, 7-10 year “zero touch” lifecycle and simple enterprise-class storage that the Hyper ISE delivers. Voted for by the industry, this award recognises the many benefits our customers are seeing from using our hybrid storage arrays. This award also recognises that to achieve high performance storage, flash storage should be considered a tool rather than a solution and that balanced efficiency is best achieved using hybrid storage.”
“Hyper ISE uses patented Continuous Adaptive Data Placement (CADP) software to analyse the behaviour of application I/O and place hotspot data onto SSD in real time. Using this unique tiering software, the perfect partnership between the SSDs and HDDs is created. The results show the Hyper ISE can outperform all-flash arrays at a fraction of the cost and with greater power efficiency. ”
X-IO’s Hyper ISE is the only hybrid storage system to fuse enterprise grade flash memory and enterprise grade hard disk drives as a single pool of storage, creating the ideal balance of price, performance, and capacity with unmatched reliability. The solution has been designed specifically for performance-driven applications that require enterprise-class reliability. Available in 4 sizes ranging from 7.2TB to 28.8TB – the solution provides a range of options. All of X-IO’s solutions provide enterprise-class reliability with no need for regular disk replacemnts and are ideally suited for a range of Microsoft, Oracle, VMware and Citrix applications together with a wide range of cloud-hosted environments.
The gala evening event was held in central London at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower. It was hosted by Angel Publishing and featured a who’s who of the IT industry.
