G-Cloud 4 recognition for leading IT services provider 365iT

IT services provider, 365iT, has been appointed to the Government’s specially selected G- Cloud 4 framework.

With budgets tighter than ever, many public sector organisations are looking at new ways to provide improved services at no further cost - and Government is committed to switching to cloud computing resources.

The G-Cloud is a developing programme of work, delivering fundamental changes in the way the public sector procures and operates ICT. It allows organisations to call off cloud services without the need for a tender or full competition process.

“365iT already does a significant amount of business within the public sector - and being accepted into G-Cloud ensures existing and new customers have a structured framework to develop and grow their infrastructures and applications environment, without additional Capital Expenditure funding,” said 365iT Managing Director, Peter Howells.

“G-Cloud also offers a level playing field for suppliers, with the Government wanting to funnel 25 per cent of spending through the small business community by 2015 - and we are delighted to be a part of that plan.”

365iT has been accredited in three lots - Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS).

“Crucially, G-Cloud 4 enables departments across the public sector to acquire cloud services - from leading providers - that can be tailored to meet their own requirements,” added Peter Howells.

“Around 30,000 Government organisations have access to the framework. And we offer support to all those wishing to adopt cloud systems - providing access to new technologies that will help deliver faster business benefits and reduce costs.”
