Established in 1995, DE-CIX in Frankfurt am Main today is the Internet exchange with the highest data throughput worldwide. Almost 600 Internet service providers from nearly 60 countries exchange a majority of their Internet traffic through DE-CIX in Frankfurt. DE-CIX Management GmbH provides premium interconnection services to its customers and expects its data centre partners for the DE-CIX Apollon platform to meet the same high requirements. These include the highest level of reliability and access security, as well as the employees’ expertise and variety of network operators on site.
“By selecting Telehouse, we now expand our DE-CIX Apollon platform with a relevant site in our domestic market. As a Frankfurt-based service provider, Telehouse has proven its concept. Telehouse is a key network hub for a number of major Internet exchanges around the world. In addition to DE-CIX, Telehouse is the primary home for the London Internet Exchange (LINX) and the France IX in Paris. The new partnership with DE-CIX for Apollon further reinforces Telehouse’s position as the heart of Europe’s Internet infrastructure.
