The implementation of Nimble CS220G is driving greater IT efficiency and enabling the organisation to offer a world-class service to students. Ashridge is one of the top 20 business schools in the world (according to both the Financial Times and Business Week). The school works in partnership with some of the world's leading business organisations.
IT is a core component in helping Ashridge to maintain its world-leading reputation. Matt Woodland, IT Operations Manager, made the decision to rip-out the organisations aging HP equipment, which was coming to the end of warranty, and replace with Nimble. This has led to immediate business benefits including:
· Reduction in storage footprint
· Better efficiency, in particular to Lotus Notes users and secure database users
· Increased performance across the estate
· Capacity savings through use of compression technology
· Better operational efficiency – freeing up time across the IT department and enabling more time to be spent on strategic projects
· Ensuring high levels of resiliency and continuous uptime for users
The deployment of Nimble’s technology is also helping Ashridge in its wider objective to move to the cloud, allowing them to reduce storage costs and be more agile and adaptive to user’s needs and requests.
Matt Woodland comments: “As a one of the world’s leading business schools it’s imperative that we invest in an IT infrastructure which ensures our students, delegates and employees get the best possible user experience when visiting our facilities, or engaging with us online. Nimble is helping us to be a more dynamic organisation, whilst also – crucially – reducing costs.”
Ashridge is also utilising InfoSight, Nimble’s Proactive Wellness customer services solution. This provides the IT department with real-time visibility of storage consumption by user and department across the whole network.
