Here is an example of how partnerships between complementary CSPs is helping the service aggregation movement to gather pace in order to provide targeted services for defined market sectors. In this case is is a partnership between PlumSlice,a provider of a cloud based, complete product management system for online retail operations, and Spectrum Partner Group, which focuses on providing cloud-based software solutions to enterprises.

The partnership will be geared around Spectrum acting as the exclusive channel partner for PlumSlice in several major Asia-Pac markets.

Spectrum Partner Group consults with enterprises looking to manage their IT costs and improve business agility, designing and implementing a custom software solution that enables them to use the best SaaS technologies available while decreasing the total cost of change.

PlumSlice provides one place where all stakeholders can collaborate and communicate to produce and sell goods more creatively, economically and faster. Its cloud-based services and SaaS software provides collaboration at all stages of product management including: product conceptualisation, design, development, product selection, vendor selection, product information management, customer engagement and delivery.

The addition of PlumSlice to Spectrum’s solution suite gives enterprises the industry’s most advanced tools in product and supply chain management, providing for the first time, a fully integrated product information component that cuts down communication time wasted and eliminates data mistakes throughout the supply chain.

“PlumSlice is a great addition to our portfolio of SaaS services that we represent,” said Arthur Fernandez, founder and managing director, Spectrum Partner Group. “Their innovative approach to a holistic product management solution is a good fit for our Asia-Pac clients who daily contend with issues of communication and supply chain logistics. PlumSlice alleviates these issues of global product value chain coordination through a centralised communication portal that is both ingenuous and highly efficient.”

According to PlumSlice founder, Abnesh Raina, he chose Spectrum as the exclusive channel partner for some of these Asia-Pac countries for its established in-country relationships and their track record in developing effective, cloud-based solutions.

The solutions PlumSlice brings to the Spectrum partnership include providing product data governanceusing a workflow-based solution that centralises and updates all key product data, in the cloud. This provides easy access to all team members, whether internal or external partners.

When it comes to enterprise productivity,PlumSlice combines product development as well as product selection with a team collaboration component for managing workflow and approvals. Team members can manage back and forth with suppliers, share product specifications and progress developments with teams around the globe. Decisions can be made faster, based on current, complete data, and thanks to the centralized portal, redundant spreadsheets are eliminated.

PlumSlice has also developed what it claims is an industry first: a comprehensive supplier and customer engagement system that unites vendors and customers much further upstream in the product cycle — as early as the design and inspiration stage — to clearly define what customers want and match it to what suppliers can provide.
