At FTTH Conference 2014, Iskratel, one of the world leaders in InfoCommunications, is looking to add new partners as it continues to expand and prepares for its ready-to-deploy Software Defined Networking (SDN) solution to surge in demand.
SDN is an emerging technology set to revolutionize networking in 2014, impacting everyone including network operators, vendors, service providers and platform developers by improving flexibility, lowering OPEX and boosting the customer experience.
“As far as I know, we are the only vendor that has an SDN solution on broadband access that could be integrated and switched on tomorrow if required,” said Janko Öri, CTO of Iskratel. “Now that we have the technology in place, we are searching for a wide range of in region partners in Scandinavia, Western Europe and beyond, who have customers itching to test and deploy SDN.”
Late last year Iskratel announced that it was the first solution provider to implement and deploy an SDN application. Called Iskratel ISA (Intelligent Service Access) architecture, the solution helps operators find themselves on a safe and secure path towards fully SDN-enabled service-delivery networks.
“Our primary objective at the FTTH Conference is to expand our partner network, but we will also be announcing the general availability of our end-to-end vectoring solution which covers CPE, access and management. Our aim is to solve interoperability challenges associated with vectoring by providing a complete solution including CPEs,” added Uroš Pivk, Iskratel Sales Director, Region West.
Iskratel has more than 60 years of experience in telecommunications. Alongside its SDN-ready technology it also has hybrid access solutions with board- and system-level vectoring on copper and P2P/GPON fibre-based solutions on show at the conference.
