Vello Systems has opened the doors of its first dedicated offices of its Northern Ireland operation as part of its strategy to significantly expand its software and applications development capabilities in the region.
The site opening sees the next step in an ongoing process to position Vello more prominently in the European market and will allow the business to grow to over 70 new jobs in Belfast over a three-year period.
Vello president and chief executive Karl May commented that; “(he) was swayed after meeting representatives of other US technology companies which had set up here, such as the world's third largest software company, SAP.
“The European market represents a huge opportunity for Vello as a company and the opening of our Belfast operation shows our dedication to growing our presence in Europe and championing the uptake of applications and new network software architectures as genuinely ‘new’, business enablers.”
“The opportunity for standards-based applications to control underlying networks is a truly exciting area of the tech industry to be involved in at the moment. By opening our doors to the first major office for product development and real engineering outside the US it represents a genuine commitment to building a European focus and advancing the uptake of cloud services in the enterprise and managed service provider space,” May finished.
Vello received support towards the creation of its 71 jobs from Invest Northern Ireland.
