If your business is having trouble with early engagement with customers, especially when it comes to finding what they are about and what they really think they are seeking from you business, you may be having trouble with what some refer to as your first mile of interaction.

What you may need, certainly in the opinion of US-based Kofax Limited, are tools which generate real time, information intensive communications from customers, and provide an essential connection to their systems of record, which are typically large scale, rigid enterprise applications and repositories not easily adapted to more contemporary technology.

Achieving success here, in what Kofax calls the FirstMile, can dramatically improve an organisation’s customer experience and greatly reduce operating costs, thus driving increased competitiveness, growth and profitability.

Kofax is a provider of smart process applications for the business critical part of customer interactions, and has just announced the availability of it’s the latest version of its primary offering for the job, Version 7.1 of  Kofax TotalAgility.

More pertinent for cloud users, it has also now introduced TotalAgility Cloud.

TotalAgility 7.1 is an advancement of the company’s flagship smart process application development and deployment platform, which now offers a multi-tenant on premise perpetual licence as an alternative to a conventional on premise perpetual licence. TotalAgility Cloud delivers the platform as a multi-tenant or dedicated instance of Microsoft Azure hosted, SaaS subscription offering.

Itsee tremendous potential for TotalAgility 7.1 to save us time, money and resources when utilizing our accounting, human resources and claims processing applications”

now offers a multi-tenant on premise perpetual licence as an alternative to a conventional on premise perpetual licence. The multi-tenant on premise perpetual licence provides business process outsourcers, service bureaux and shared service centres with the ability to more easily offer on premise or cloud based services to multiple customers or business units using a single installation of the software, while better segregating their respective users, processes, content, reporting and analytics.

The new version enables enterprises to transform and simplify the business critical First Mile of real time, information-intensive customer interactions by exploiting the benefits of a hosted SaaS subscription offering. This can allow them to rapidly prototype and deploy a solution without needing to purchase, install, configure and maintain hardware and software as an instance of Microsoft Azure. It also helps them meet line of business objectives through operating budgets rather than capital expenditure budgets and IT dependencies.

It provides the tools to protect sensitive information and ensure business continuity by leveraging Microsoft Azure’s cloud infrastructure, which provides a secure and scalable environment with high availability and automatic load balancing, and allows users to choose a dedicated instance Microsoft Azure hosted SaaS subscription offering to address concerns that may be associated with a multi-tenant environment.

“TotalAgility 7.0 is a game-changing product that delivers an unparalleled combination of market leading capture, business process management, dynamic case management, data integration, analytics and mobile capabilities on a single, unified platform,” said Anthony Macciola, Chief Technology Officer at Kofax. “TotalAgility 7.1 and TotalAgility Cloud build on that success by adding the benefits of on-premise multi-tenancy and cloud services for increased flexibility, productivity and cost savings.”
