Cloud Service Providers choose Virtus Data Centres

New customers join the Virtus Hybrid Cloud Access Hub.

Virtus Data Centres Ltd. (Virtus) has announced the addition of a number of new cloud service provider customers including ERA, Inatech, OryxAlign and L3C to the Virtus Hybrid Cloud Access Hub in its Enfield based LONDON1 data centre. The Virtus Hybrid Cloud Access Hub, which can be accessed through the Virtus Marketplace, provides customers with access to a broad ecosystem of highly scalable public and private cloud service providers.

By joining Virtus Data Centres, the additional cloud providers continue to augment the Hybrid Cloud Access Hub and provide existing customers with immediate access to an extensive range of key cloud services. These include intelligent, cloud-based Oracle solutions from Inatech, virtual desktop infrastructure from OryxAlign and on-demand hosting services for the media industry via the ERACloud. Businesses that colocate in the data centre will be able to choose the best combination of the three cloud pillars – infrastructure, platform and software – to tailor the cloud to meet their specific requirements.

Virtus is being chosen by more and more cloud service providers because of its convenient locations within the heart of London’s cloud and digital content ecosystem and its established MSP community. Its rich connectivity and ability to offer low costs and daily pricing, through its Colo-on-Demand and Connectivity-on-Demand product offerings, supports cloud providers. This enables Virtus colocated customers accessing the Hub to scale their services up or down in line with their business needs.

These new customers will sit alongside existing cloud providers in the Virtus Cloud Ecosystem such as Daisy, Coreix, C4L, ServerSpace and Exponential-E, who as well as providing their own cloud services from Virtus also provide a range of private patching services to other leading cloud services via private networks for increased application performance, security and availability.

Carl Henriksen, founder and managing director, OryxAlign, said: “We are very pleased to be joining the Virtus Cloud Access Hub. Virtus’ unique background amongst data centre owners and operators – having come from the cloud and managed technology services industry – means that Virtus understands applications, solutions and the needs of MSPs like us and our clients. Virtus is able to provide a customer friendly and flexible product offering that has enabled us to grow our cloud platform.”

Neil Cresswell, CEO, Virtus Data Centres, said: “The Virtus Hybrid Cloud Access Hub is growing fast as London’s premier cloud service provider hub. We have seen growing demand for access to flexible, low cost hybrid cloud capabilities from leading local and global providers; either physically located in Virtus' data centres or connected via private direct connection services located in other UK data centres via our rich integrated connectivity platform or those of our partners through the Virtus Marketplace.”

Cresswell continued: “The Virtus Hybrid Cloud Access Hub is an ever growing virtuous circle that delivers the best hybrid cloud solutions for enterprises. A compellingly different model for cloud service providers, it is the only completely flexible, highly connected, cost efficient, scalable colocation in London, creating a better cloud model for enterprises to meet the fast changing IT requirements of business in London.”
