Jim DeHaven named new jetNEXUS CEO

British technology company accelerates growth with appointment of former senior execs from Cisco and Juniper.

jetNEXUS, the UK provider of advanced load balancing technology, has announced the appointment of Jim DeHaven as the company’s new CEO.

Jim was formerly Director, Data Centre & Virtualisation at Cisco UK&I and takes over from jetNEXUS co-founder, Greg Howett who now takes on the role of CTO. As the company enters its next stage of growth, jetNEXUS has also appointed telecoms and IT industry veteran, Eddie Minshull as chairman.

Jim DeHaven has 21 years of sales and management experience, specialising in new technology sales to enterprise, commercial and public sector organisations. For the last 7 years he led Cisco’s UK & Ireland Data Centre and Virtualisation operation, during which time he took 20 different new/advanced technologies to market, including Cisco’s Server Load Balancing solution. Eddie Minshull has 25 years’ experience in the telecoms and IT sector. Since leaving his role as CEO of MLL Telecom in 2012, he held a number of non-executive positions in the networking and Cleantech space. Prior to that, Eddie held a number of senior positions at Juniper Networks, including Head of EMEA and EVP Worldwide Sales & Services.

Commenting on his appointment, Jim DeHaven said: “It’s a really exciting time to be joining jetNEXUS and I’m delighted to be on board as the company enters its next stage of growth. With users’ expectations regarding the performance of mobile and web-based applications continuing to grow, organisations are looking towards easy-to-use advanced load balancing and application acceleration technology. At the same time the industry is in transition with the emergence of software-defined networking, which presents a significant opportunity for the channel to build and differentiate themselves through greater application centricity and capability. Against this backdrop jetNEXUS, is ideally positioned to meet these changing requirements in both the UK public sector and broad mid-market. As such, we are planning to expand our business in the UK and internationally – accelerating our channel strategy with the view to doubling our in-direct sales operation.”

jetNEXUS helps channel partners grow their revenue streams by offering their customers feature-rich, easy-to-use and cost-effective next-generation load-balancing technology. The company continues to disrupt the traditional model of vendor-channel relationships by offering UK resellers 30 per cent margin on registered deals; 15 per cent on unregistered deals; and most importantly, a 15 per cent margin rebate if the registered opportunity holder loses the sale to another jetNEXUS partner.

Greg Howett, co-founder and CTO, jetNEXUS commented: “We are delighted to have Jim and Eddie join jetNEXUS and look forward to benefiting from the vast amounts of experience and expertise that both bring with them. Jim led Cisco’s Data Centre and Virtualisation business, including Unified Computing in the UK & Ireland. These appointments are a significant milestone in our relatively short history, as we continue to evolve our technology and grow our business.”
