NaviSite has announced an Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solution to help enable enhanced data security while simplifying the management of devices and resources across an organization. NaviSite’s EMM solutions provide a full portfolio of Mobile Device Management (MDM) capabilities to help companies address the critical challenge of securing data across a range of personal devices in a workplace environment where Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) has become the norm.
NaviSite’s EMM solution empowers companies to control access to, and usage of, business-critical data across a range of mobile devices through mobile device management, mobile application management, mobile content management, containerization and workspaces, and a software development kit. The powerful self-service portal enables administrators to create new users, generate reports, and administer permissions and access resources, among other essential controls. With pointed, role-based access, enterprises can better govern the changes that elevate the security of mobile operations, without impeding productivity.

“Mobile devices are proliferating at an exponential rate, introducing a new set of security and management challenges for enterprises,” said Sumeet Sabharwal, general manager, NaviSite. “Our solution enables businesses with a comprehensive, fully managed solution to address their entire enterprise mobility and collaboration needs without compromising on their security, compliance, and performance standards.”

NaviSite’s EMM solution uses technology from AirWatch® by VMware, a leading enterprise mobility management platform provider with solutions for device, email, application, browser and content management.

“Organizations continue to shift from point solutions for mobile initiatives to comprehensive enterprise mobility management platforms so they can truly manage their entire mobile footprint,” said Kevin Keith, director of Business Development, AirWatch by VMware. “We’re pleased to enable NaviSite’s EMM offering with our industry leading solutions that allow businesses to simplify and secure their mobile initiatives.”

NaviSite’s EMM solution provides a suite of powerful MDM services and resources, each uniquely suited to address key areas of concern among today’s increasingly distributed enterprise workforce. Some of these resources include:
• Mobile Device Management – Enables access to enterprise assets, encrypt sensitive data, enforce compliance and security standards, and more.
• Mobile Application Management – Helps distribute, track, update, and secure critical applications, over-the-air, on an array of end-user devices.
• Mobile Content Management – Provides a secure, streamlined way to share, to sync, and to edit enterprise- and user-generated content.
• Containerization and Workspaces – Establishes a complete and controllable separation of corporate and personal data to manage enterprise applications and data on end-user devices.
• Software Development Kit – Enables the development of secure enterprise applications for dissemination to end-user devices, leveraging app wrapping, testing, user authentication, geo-fencing, branding, and significantly more.
NaviSite’s EMM solution complements the company’s broader portfolio of solutions, including NaviSite’s NaviCloud® Desktop-as-a-Service solution, Managed Applications Services, and Managed Messaging Services.
