The three year agreement means Cisco Gold Partner, Comms-care will now manage all of Kcom’s Cisco support requirements through a collaborative services model in partnership with Cisco. The services agreement provides field-based support and spares management, spanning 6,000 end-user sites totalling around 100,000 Cisco products.

Kcom’s end-user customers operate across multiple industries including public sector, financial services, retail, utilities and manufacturing so it was important that the process of transitioning the services from the incumbent supplier was seamless. To assist in minimising any disruption of service during the transition process Comms-care established a Kcom specific service desk, opened additional spares storage depots, made significant investment in additional spares equipment, obtained further ‘safe contractor’ and security clearances where necessary and initiated bespoke training plans for all support staff.

Stephen Long, Managing Director of Kcom said: “In Comms-care we’ve got a partner that shares our same values and commitment to the end user experience. Our customers will benefit from a high-quality Cisco support service delivered by a responsive and flexible team.”

Ben Davies, managing director of Comms-care, commented: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with the UK’s leading information and communication service provider. Our reputation as the leading strategic IT support partner to the channel continues to grow with every new partnership we forge. We see the Kcom partnership as a real indicator of how high profile companies continue to put their trust in us in becoming a natural extension to their own service proposition. We work hard across the whole business to ensure our service proposition is aligned to the needs of all our customers and we look forward to demonstrating the benefits of this to Kcom as the relationship develops.“
