Phoenix has a strong position in the mid-market, and the new partnership will help Huawei successfully target the mid-sized customer space. Phoenix will be undertaking a series of marketing initiatives with Huawei to showcase its networking story demonstrating how organisations can drive significant operational improvements, while at the same time as reducing their network infrastructure costs. Phoenix has benchmarked this and believes that Huawei solutions are a compelling proposition for the SMB market segment. Huawei is in a strong place to meet the demands of the UK market with Huawei’s networking solutions deployed with 45 of the top 50 Global Telecoms operators, 70,000 employees engaged in research & development and significant investment being placed in the UK.
Phoenix will be working with Huawei on the development of its MPLS Service for long distance network routing. In addition, Phoenix is working on a long term investment and training plan with many of their technical teams already receiving training. They will be developing their capability in pre-sales, technical architects, deployment and support services. Huawei has only awarded one other UK company Gold Partner status. Phoenix has also recently secured HP Platinum accreditation.

Chief Executive of Phoenix IT, Steve Vaughan, said: “As an industry leader in IT services and a company that really understands the mid-market, we are excited that Phoenix has been selected by Huawei to deliver and develop Managed IT Services. We are delighted to be awarded the honour of Huawei Gold Enterprise Partner and we look forward to a long term relationship with Huawei, helping to focus on developing its core capabilities and delivering high quality and innovative service solutions to the marketplace.”

David Poskett, Vice President Enterprise UK&I, Huawei Enterprise Business Group said: “Huawei has selected Phoenix as a key partner due to the credibility they have built over many years and their industry leading capability to deliver network solutions and services. We are very pleased to work with Phoenix as a part of a strategic relationship in the UK. This is demonstrated by Phoenix being awarded the prestigious accolade of Huawei Gold Enterprise Partner.”
