Organisations across all sectors now realise that pervasive wireless is a necessity to meet the growing demands of today's workforce, so it's vital they prepare for this exabyte era.

"At Xirrus we're doing Wi-Fi in a different way. Xirrus uniquely can scale from Cloud enabled Branch office solutions to Large Public Venues with tens of thousands of users; all operating flawlessly on the network. I'm keen to build on our recent successes in Europe by opening up the potential in territories such as the Nordics, Spain & Italy, as well as untapped high-growth markets in Africa and the Middle East."

Shane Buckley, CEO of Xirrus, said: "Duncan joins us with a wealth of experience and enthusiasm for the networking infrastructure space. The EMEA market has tremendous growth potential as more organisations are looking at wireless as a way to bring greater efficiencies and drive new revenue streams. Duncan has proven to deliver success in all of his previous roles and we're looking forward to him playing a vital role in the next stage of our growth across EMEA and expansion into new markets."
