JOIN’s decision to cooperate with KPN Wholesales’ Open Cloud Store underlines a worldwide trend where traditional sale of software licenses rapidly gets replaced by a “Software-as-a-Service”-model (SaaS). With SaaS, customers enjoy a transparent pay-per-use subscription model. The Open Cloud Store, part of a large Telco like KPN, adds quality and continuity to the equation, enabling JOIN to open the business market for their services.
Pascal Koster (Managing Director, JOIN) comments: “KPN’s Open Cloud Store offers us the opportunity to serve our customers with a wider range of cloud solutions, such as Microsoft O365. We are pleased to work together with a respected Telco like KPN, and look forward work closely together on making this partnership into a success.”
The Open Cloud Store enables ICT suppliers, telco’s, hosters and distributors to offer a wide range of Cloud solutions to their end-users, mainly SMBs, via a single platform. This platform allows for rapid implementation, making it is easy to expand product line-ups with SaaS-based services with minimal time-to-market. Available cloud solutions consist of Hosted Applications (SaaS), Hosted Voice (VoIP) and Hosted Infrastructure (IaaS) solutions. These solutions are fully white labeled. The Open Cloud Store facilitates automatic handling of the ordering, provisioning, billing as well as payment. Already serving several domestic customers, this contract with JOIN paves the way to international expansion.
Rick van Schaik (Managing Director KPN Wholesale) adds: “I am very proud that JOIN selects the Open Cloud Store to offer Cloud services to their customers. The partnership with a international company as JOIN confirms our trust in the future of the Open Cloud Store, not only for the Dutch market, but for the international market as well.”
