UST Global, an information technology solutions and services company, announces a new partnership with Actifio, the leader in copy data virtualisation. With Actifio, UST’s customers can now develop new applications more quickly while efficiently utilising their existing server, storage and networking resources. This results in a more agile, resilient and cloud-like IT operation for an organisation employing UST’s new service platform.
“Until now, storage solutions have relied on extra hardware purchases that could never guarantee increased efficiency,” said Rakesh Patel, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Sales at UST Global. “Through our 360-degree partnership with Actifio, we’re enhancing the customer’s experiences of storing, protecting, and accessing data, while decreasing costs for these services. We’re allowing companies to focus on efficiency rather than investing financial resources on hardware.”
By virtualising the management and retention of data, Actifio allows businesses to eliminate multiple data silos and point tools deployed for backup for example, and instead rely on one, SLA-driven, virtualised solution. UST’s branded Managed Storage Portfolio takes advantage of Actifio’s data virtualisation platform to support UST’s full range of new data management services, including:
· Rapid application development and testing using Actifio workflows and LiveClone Technologies
· Simple managed storage services reducing redundant copies of data created across multiple use case
· Fast disaster recovery solution in the cloud and on-premise with Actifio’s patented DedupAsync replication
· Complete application-centric backups with instant restores for best-in-class RTO’s
· Efficient Active Archive using Actifio’s SLA-based management and data retention engine
“We share UST’s passion for helping enterprises deliver more efficient IT operations which can transform how business is done.” said Ram Shanmugam, Vice President of Cloud Services at Actifio. “By making these new services widely available, UST’s customers can now experience what hundreds of Actifio’s users have known for years; more data doesn’t need to mean more infrastructure, cost or complexity.”
The joint product development agreement will also result in two new UST Global Centres of Excellence in India and Mexico and UST Global will form a new global practice around Actifio’s copy data virtualisation platform. The industry-leading expertise found within UST’s Centres of Excellence (CoEs) plays a key role in the company’s success with clients. The CoEs deliver pragmatic IT solutions that allow clients to consistently achieve their most critical business objectives. UST’s Partner Programme complements the Centres of Excellence. The programme aims to develop strategic relationships with top organisations to provide UST Global developers with advanced access to new technology and educational resources.
“When CIOs are searching for partners who can give them a competitive edge, they often come across UST Global due to its expertise in valuable solution areas such as application development,” said Ash Ashutosh, Founder and CEO, Actifio. “We’re excited to help UST continue to deliver innovative offerings for leading enterprises around the world and share its vision for enabling a more resilient and agile cloud-like data centre.”
