Chris Ranger, Group Head of Services
Chris’ role will be pivotal in the ongoing development of the Hardware Group services portfolio. Chris is a senior service professional, with a career spanning almost thirty years in the high-tech industry.
With strong corporate and field experience – including working and living in USA for 2 years – Chris brings a demonstrable background of successfully driving change by assessing complex situations and formulating and executing strategies in order to drive and accelerate services growth. His experience also includes company acquisition and international business startup.
Educated at Harvard University, Chris holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Building Competitive Advantage through Service Operations.
Prior to his appointment Chris held a number of executive positions, including Vice President of Services at Westcon Group, Senior Director of Services & Support at Intermec, and VP & GM at Enterprise Mobility Solution, Services Sales EMEA at Motorola Solutions.
Ian Lane, Head of Enterprise Sales
Ian joins the UK Sales Management team to lead the expansion of the recently formed Enterprise Sales Division. Ian’s role will be to work closely with the Enterprise Sales team to drive and develop sales into enterprise sectors, service providers, system integrators, and other key customer accounts, while working closely with the Management team regarding the expansion of the Hardware Group portfolio of technologies & services.
Ian is a successful sales management professional with over 15 years of experience, with a proven track record in the management and development of senior sale account managers tasked with the delivery of complex multi-vendor technology solutions to the corporate marketplace. Ian is skilled in NI, Security, Collaboration, Video, Cloud services Licensing, SAM, Virtualisation, Core Infrastructure, Systems Management and Data Centre Solutions.
Prior to his appointment, Ian has had a very successful 7 years at Dimension Data, where he was Sales Manager of the UK Commercial Sales team, and delivered solid year-on-year Growth. Ian was also part of the Teksys Sales Management team, and prior to this he was part of the Senior Sales team at Bytes Technology Group.
