Verizon Enterprise Solutions is simplifying the cloud-purchasing experience for its clients, with the launch of Verizon Cloud Marketplace, a key foundational component of the company’s robust ecosystem of enterprise-class technologies. The online storefront will initially feature pre-built cloud-based services from AppDynamics, Hitachi Data Systems, Juniper Networks, pfSense and Tervela.

Available globally to enterprises using Verizon Cloud, Verizon Cloud Marketplace provides a one-stop shop for software-based cloud resources that are certified to operate in Verizon’s cloud environments. Enterprises using Verizon Cloud for their workloads now have convenient and flexible self-service access to applications for big-data management, security, networking and software development. Designed to free clients’ IT staff from the time and effort required to configure, deploy and fine-tune applications, Verizon Cloud Marketplace helps enterprises speed innovation cycles with easy, predictable deployments of new cloud-based services and applications to enable operational transformation initiatives and optimize the digital experience.

“The launch of Verizon Cloud Marketplace is an important milestone in the ongoing evolution of our cloud ecosystem,” said Siki Giunta, senior vice president of cloud services, Verizon Enterprise Solutions. “Verizon Cloud Marketplace is all about simplifying and streamlining migration to the cloud, and enterprises using Verizon Cloud will now have access to a growing number of industry-leading cloud-based applications required to power their businesses in the digital age.”

The following inaugural providers of enterprise-class cloud-computing services are now active in the Verizon Cloud Marketplace:

AppDynamics: The AppDynamics Application Intelligence platform provides software-defined businesses unprecedented real-time visibility into every line of code in their entire production-level application environment. Automatic instrumentation, mapping and base lining make the platform easy to deploy, and enable proactive troubleshooting before issues impact users.

Hitachi Data Systems: Hitachi’s Adaptive cloud-tiering technology helps organizations easily transition from traditional IT to private clouds, from private clouds to hybrid clouds, and from hybrid clouds to public clouds. Hitachi Cloud Transition Services and Hitachi Cloud Services for Content Archiving support a range of deployment and cloud on-ramp capabilities, enabling organizations to maintain flexibility and scalability in archiving content to the cloud.

Juniper Networks: Juniper Networks Firefly Perimeter is a virtual firewall solution that delivers advanced security services, rich networking and routing capabilities and intelligent automated management that enable users to dynamically deploy and scale firewall protection without sacrificing performance, availability or control. A virtualized version of the award-winning Juniper Networks SRX Series Services Gateway, Firefly Perimeter can be easily deployed and managed centrally or individually as a full-featured virtual firewall for each department, application or tenant.

pfSense: Offers a free, open-source customized distribution of an advanced computer operating system specifically tailored for use as a firewall and router that is entirely managed via a web interface.

Tervela: Tervela Cloud FastPath provides a simple, fast, secure set of data migration, transport and ingest services for moving files and databases to the cloud and between cloud environments. The service, which is simple to configure and operate, offers users a fully automated and reliable way to migrate and synchronize on-premises and cloud data stores, avoiding the time, cost and errors associated with custom FTP tasks, extract/transform/load functions, or the shipping of physical disks.

In addition, a comprehensive portfolio of cloud onboarding services from Verizon is available.
