At the core of ThreatMatch is an online portal that allows subscribers to monitor and utilise live cyber threat intelligence. The service allows users to fully personalise the information they receive, ensuring that it is highly relevant to their industry and business.
PwC’s latest Global CEO Survey concluded that 49% of global CEO’s admit that cyber security is high on their agendas but that their companies are increasingly struggling to handle the challenges on their own. Mandiant’s latest cyber report showed that 69% of the victims investigated did not detect the breach using their own resources; instead, they required third party assistance.
“This trend shows that businesses need to be more aware of the threats they face and consulting with third parties is an effective way to do so,” said John Beale, Managing Director at Security Alliance. “HP’s Cyber Risk report 2015 places emphasis on the need for companies to ‘understand the changing threat landscape’, by ‘employing complimentary technologies’. ThreatMatch does this by allowing users to harness actionable intelligence on threat actors’ motivation and methods, as well as providing general news and analysis on the current threat landscape.”
Ian Glover, President of CREST warns, “As the number and sophistication of cyber attacks continue to grow at a fast pace, companies, government organisations and charities are struggling to understand the changing threat landscape and focus their security investments to best effect. It is widely accepted that there has been a shift to a more threat centric approach to cyber defence and this has to start with an accurate picture of the real threats facing the organisation. You can then gain a better understanding of your risks by implementing targeted security testing to simulate the behaviour of your attackers, anticipate potential cyber attacks and take appropriate action before the event.”
“We see cyber threat intelligence and security monitoring as central and fundamental components of any organisation’s cyber security strategy,” adds Beale. “We have worked carefully to integrate exceptional services and service providers with a truly collaborative approach to solving our clients’ cyber security challenges. By combining the power of a market leading threat intelligence service with existing cyber incident response, security testing and SOC optimisation services, we can now deliver a completely new level of value and insight for our clients.”
