Burwood Group adds Zadara Enterprise Storage-as-a-Service to its portfolio

New solution addresses critical need for enterprise-class, pay-as-you-go, agile storage.

Zadara’s award-winning Virtual Private Storage Array (VPSA) platform is now being offered as part of Burwood’s storage as a service offering.

Burwood Group has built a strong reputation for helping organisations apply technology as a strategic tool to create efficiencies and competitive advantage. As companies become more reliant on their exponentially growing data, they are recognising that the traditional approach of purchasing large storage arrays and then managing and maintaining those complex devices has become inefficient and will not scale. Many of these companies are turning to the cloud to address this problem, and are quickly realising the answer is not exclusively going cloud or on-premise, but more of a hybrid model incorporating the best of both environments. Burwood has selected Zadara Storage as their partner to solve this customer problem. By offering the Zadara enterprise storage as a service platform, their customers will now have a solution that will address the scalability, manageability and economic limitations of traditional storage arrays, that incorporates a unified cloud and on-premise, software defined storage (SDS) solution known as Zadara Storage VPSA.

“As the trusted advisor to our clients, Burwood’s role is to work with them to solve their most challenging information technology and business issues,” said Mark Pingry, managed services managing consultant at Burwood Group. “We developed Burwood storage as a service, powered by Zadara Storage, to address one of the most critical and costly challenges facing IT organisations today: expensive, complex, and inefficient data storage. In many markets, but particularly Healthcare, data storage demand is growing at such a pace that you can no longer be reactive. You must offer solutions that are on-demand, elastic, easy to use, and cost effective. Burwood storage as a service, powered by Zadara Storage, gives control of this data sprawl back to our clients in an easy to use, cost effective, consumption based pricing model.”

“We are extremely pleased to be adding Burwood Group to our family of partners,” said Nelson Nahum, CEO of Zadara Storage. "Burwood’s deep knowledge of corporate IT organisations makes them an excellent partner for Zadara Storage. Their ability to align our technology with customers who need it most, creates value for key customers facing critical storage challenges.”

“Our research shows that storage as a service offerings such as Zadara Storage create significant and compelling economic benefits”, said Randy Kerns, senior strategist and analyst at the Evaluator Group. “Zadara Storage offers a unique value over many of the as-a-service solutions in that they provide the enterprise features users have come to expect from their traditional storage arrays. With Zadara’s VPSA offering, users maintain the same, or better, enterprise class high-availability and disaster recovery capabilities as they have on their current storage arrays.”
