Custom Connect MW optimises UK–Germany microwave routes

Custom Connect Microwave (CCMW) has optimised its industry-leading private bandwidth service on the routes Slough - Frankfurt and Basildon - Frankfurt. CCMW’s latency between Slough-LD4 and Frankfurt-FR2 will be 4.56 milliseconds (ms) RTD (Roundtrip Delay Time). The RTD between NYSE Basildon and Frankfurt-FR2 will be 4.14ms. These latencies are the lowest known. They will be available per mid August 2015.

“Traders and risk managers will benefit from the fastest data service between the most important trading hubs in Europe,” said CCMW co-founder Jan Willem Meijer. “We are pleased that all market participants will be able to access exchange data at the industry’s lowest known latency.”

The Slough-Frankfurt connection is CCMW’s second Microwave route in Europe, after the Basildon-Frankfurt path. “We will continue to optimise and expand our paths between these major exchanges in order to deliver the fastest possible solutions to the global finance community, as we have done constantly during the last years,” said Meijer.
