BeyondTrust has introduced BeyondTrust PowerBroker® Management Suite 4.0. This solution set simplifies auditing administration, so IT organizations can mitigate the risks of unwanted changes in Active Directory and other systems and better understand user activity to meet compliance requirements.

PowerBroker Management Suite 4.0 includes a new unified web console that enables admins to enforce consistent auditing policies across Windows Active Directory, Exchange, File Systems and SQL deployments. The web-based console complements the existing local application interface included with previous versions, increasing overall efficiency and flexibility.

For any organization leveraging Active Directory, understanding Group Policy Object (GPO) changes is essential to uncovering potential risks – or preventing mistakes from causing further harm. With Management Suite 4.0, customers now have the ability to see before and after values in a GPO change, and identify specifically what changed in the GPO itself. This new capability adds depth to audits by providing real-time visibility that can help reduce the risk of potentially damaging changes.
Data can be an organization’s most valuable asset, so it should be protected wherever it resides. NetApp filers have long been a critical component of an enterprise’s storage, archiving and data management strategies. To assist with these tasks, Management Suite 4.0 adds NetApp auditing to PowerBroker Auditor for File Systems. This capability ensures the security, compliance and control of NetApp files and folders by auditing, reporting and alerting on all changes in real time.

With PowerBroker Management Suite 4.0, customers can:
· Audit the Who, What, Where and When of changes and receive alerts to gain real-time visibility into potential compliance concerns.
· Rollback and restore any Active Directory changes or deletions, and backup and restore Group Policy settings, to protect the business from downtime.
· Generate entitlement reports to ensure that users have access to the resources – and only those resources – they need to do their jobs.
· Centralize distributed audit data and extend it throughout the Microsoft infrastructure, benefiting from more capabilities than native tools and gaining a unified view of changes across Active Directory, Exchange, File Systems, SQL and NetApp environments.

“At BeyondTrust, we know that admins and IT teams have their hands full when it comes to monitoring and maintaining business-critical environments like Active Directory,” said Brad Hibbert, CTO, BeyondTrust. “The new unified web console in PowerBroker Management Suite 4.0 is a testament to BeyondTrust’s ability to respond to customer needs and innovate for the industry. By delivering active, comprehensive visibility into changes, PowerBroker Management Suite continues to be set apart from the competition.”
