SPX is powered by the technology that has made the StorageCraft ShadowProtect software family one of the most trusted names in backup and disaster recovery and includes a robust set of new features built based on feedback from IT administrators. SPX allows for quick and efficient sector-level backup of Windows and Linux systems and enables reliable recovery within minutes to the original hardware, to new hardware or to a virtual machine hosted on the same or a different hypervisor. SPX leverages Volume Shadow Copy Service to ensure solid backups and a proprietary kernel-level snapshot driver to ensure fast backups of Windows systems. Also today, StorageCraft announced the release of ShadowControl 3.0. Through ShadowControl 3.0, IT administrators can now monitor and manage every ShadowProtect, SPX and StorageCraft ImageManager endpoint in the system’s environment through a single, web-based console. Additionally, for endpoints protected by SPX, ShadowControl offers policy-based backup job management that lets users quickly and easily create and assign a consistent backup job configuration to groups of endpoints.
