Violin Memory has revealed details of the successful deployment of a new Violin 7300 flash storage platform (FSP) in the data centre of the San Francisco 49ers.

Violin’s 7300 FSP meets the 49ers high availability, reliability, and performance requirements while providing a complete suite of data protection features.”
“The Violin 7300 FSP is helping us consolidate from two at-capacity Violin 6232 all-flash arrays to a single flash storage platform,” said Ethan Casson, chief revenue officer for the San Francisco 49ers. “It gives us faster, more reliable access to the data we need to run the business operations and provide the best possible fan experience.”
Violin professional services handled the installation and is managing the data migration.
The Violin Memory 7300 FSP is installed in the team’s data centre at Levi’s Stadium, one of the most technologically advanced sports facilities in the world.
