Trustwave and Palo Alto Networks forge Managed Security Services pact

Trustwave and Palo Alto Networks have formed a strategic alliance designed to bring next-generation managed security services to global, multi-national businesses and government agencies.

Under the terms of the agreement, Trustwave has become a global member of the Palo Alto Networks NextWave partner program to provide managed security services for the Palo Alto Networks security platform. The alliance expands Trustwave Managed Security Services to include Palo Alto Networks devices delivering the latest next-generation security technology to help businesses defend the network perimeter without having to manage and monitor the devices themselves.

Trustwave also plans to use the Palo Alto Networks WildFire cloud-based malware analysis and prevention service to enhance Trustwave threat management and intelligence services. Plans include integration of WildFire with many existing Trustwave products as well as offering a managed WildFire service to Trustwave customers. Offering WildFire to Trustwave customers will provide yet another strong layer of managed detection and prevention capabilities against the latest cyberattacks.

“With customers in 96 countries, security operations centers across the world, and extensive experience managing security on behalf of large and distributed enterprises, Trustwave brings a truly global perspective as a key managed security services partner for Palo Alto Networks,” said Robert McCullen, Chief Executive Officer and President of Trustwave. “Partnering with Palo Alto Networks brings a new level of protection to enterprises and government agencies that want advanced protection delivered as a managed security service.”

“We are delighted with Trustwave joining the Singtel Group and offering our customers the innovative, advanced level of protection we provide as a globally managed security service,” said Mark McLaughlin, Chief Executive Officer of Palo Alto Networks. “We are pleased to enter into this global alliance with Trustwave and help our joint customers enjoy a high level of service and security.”

Firewalls are the first line of defense for defending the perimeter against highly targeted and evasive malware and attacks. As security monitoring has become a 24/7 challenge, so too has the monitoring and management of next-generation firewalls. From deployment to patches to staying current with security policies and configurations, Trustwave Managed Firewall service offers around-the-clock support with integrated threat analysis delivered by the SpiderLabs team at Trustwave. By leaving the heavy lifting to Trustwave, businesses can focus on their priorities and core competencies.
