Cloudian is working with global data centre solution provider QCT (Quanta Cloud Technology) to deploy HyperStore smart data storage software to bring object-based storage to QCT's customers. QCT will integrate HyperStore software in its storage appliances, powered by Intel architecture, offering customers the business and operational advantages of hyperscale, software-defined object storage with full AWS and S3-cloud compatibility.

The addition of Cloudian HyperStore software to its portfolio expands QCT's data centre solutions for service providers, enterprises and content providers. Cloudian HyperStore supports multi-tenancy, peer-to-peer scaling and seamless, policy-rich data management from on-premises infrastructure to any S3-compatible public cloud, making it the ideal object storage solution for highly distributed, hyperscale computing environments.

"Providing a full spectrum of innovative, enterprise-grade compute, network and storage infrastructure is a cornerstone of our growth strategy," said Mike Yang, general manager, QCT. "As more and more IT organisations identify object storage as critical to a software-defined data centre, we selected Cloudian HyperStore as a technology partner to bring massively scalable, fully integrated cloud storage to our customers."

"QCT is a global force in data centre solutions and their expertly designed, completely turn-key infrastructures support some of the world's most demanding and data-intensive compute environments," said Michael Tso, CEO and co-founder, Cloudian. "Our Cloudian HyperStore smart data storage is perfectly suited for service providers and enterprise workloads where scalability, availability and operational efficiency are key priorities. We're delighted that Cloudian HyperStore will be an object storage platform of choice for QCT and its customers."

"Next generation data centres require a balancing of many factors such as environmental foot print, software, compute, network and storage to meet the accelerating data demands of end-users," said Bev Crair, vice president, Datacenter Group, and general manager, Storage Group, Intel Corp. "Intel, QCT and Cloudian are collaborating to develop industry-leading storage solutions to address today's explosive data growth while ensuring simple deployment, scalability, manageability, as well as environmental and financial efficiencies."
