Tieto digitalises the financing processes of Finnfund

The Finnish Fund for Industrial Cooperation Ltd (Finnfund) is procuring a case and document management solution from Tieto. The system will be deployed during 2016. It will digitalize financing-related processes and make related information easier to find and manage throughout its life cycle.

Finnfund finances approximately 160 company projects in more than 30 developing countries and Russia. The new solution will be used to manage documents related to investments, from reception to long-term storage or disposal. The solution can also be accessed with mobile devices. In the future, it may expand to cover other Finnfund functions, such as administration.

"It is important that we use information efficiently, make sure that the financing process runs smoothly and support decision-making by managers," says Minnamari Marttila, Director of Administration at Finnfund.

"It is great that our solution met Finnfund's requirements. The Public 360° product lays a strong foundation for rapid deployment and cost-effective management," says Leena Viljo, Vice President, Public Finland at Tieto.

The delivery is based on Software Innovation's Public 360° solution, which is a standardized case, document and archive management system. Software Innovation, acquired by Tieto in summer 2015, is the market-leading provider of electronic content management solutions in the Nordic region.
