Tenable Network Security supports Microsoft Azure

Leading developer of next-generation cybersecurity software now provides enhanced security visibility across three major cloud environments with release of Nessus for Microsoft Azure.

Tenable Network Security says that its vulnerability management platform, Nessus®, delivers enhanced security visibility and system hardening for Microsoft Azure cloud environments. Tenable now provides the broadest cloud coverage available with support for three major cloud environments – Azure, Amazon Web Services and Rackspace.
“The foundation of strong cloud security starts with knowing which assets are running in the cloud,” said Ron Gula, CEO, Tenable Network Security. “As the first to extend its comprehensive vulnerability management software to Azure users, Tenable makes it easy for organizations to embrace the cloud by identifying any known threats or vulnerabilities and remediating them before it’s too late.”
Cloud has given rise to DevOps and enabled organizations to save time and money by improving development speed and automation. Through continuous delivery, Tenable’s solutions audit and assess Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines, giving organisations complete visibility into their on-premises, cloud or hybrid environments. With Tenable, Azure users also gain enhanced visibility into which assets, workloads and applications are running in the cloud, and can easily detect and identify misconfigured or vulnerable systems to quickly remediate threats and remove security weaknesses.
For increased flexibility, Azure users can also take advantage of Nessus Agents. Agents perform localised assessments on virtual systems and portable devices such as laptops, remote or difficult-to-scan systems, and send the data back to a central platform via Nessus Cloud or Nessus Manager. Additional capabilities include advanced vulnerability analytics, reporting and dashboards that provide organizations with a consolidated view of data across the entire IT environment.
“We are delighted that Tenable Nessus is now available on the Microsoft Azure platform,” said Nicole Herskowitz, senior director of product marketing, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Corp. “Tenable helps our customers address the growing challenges facing their business-critical cloud environments.”
