Equinix joins the Cloud Security Alliance

Reinforces its commitment to providing secure, direct and high-performance connections to multiple cloud providers.

Equinix has joined the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), a not-for-profit organization with a mission to promote the use of best practices for providing security assurance within cloud computing, and to provide education on the uses of cloud computing to help secure all other forms of computing.
While many enterprise CIOs understand the importance of moving to the cloud for business agility and performance gain, many still cite security as a significant barrier to cloud adoption.  In fact, in a recent study, “The Enterprise of the Future,” security topped the list of enterprise IT concerns, with 64 percent of survey respondents reporting that security worries could drive them to consider re-architecting their IT infrastructure over the next 12 months. By providing secure and direct connections to multiple cloud providers via its Equinix Cloud Exchange™ solution, Equinix enables the interconnected enterprise to bypass the public internet and therefore realize the benefits of the cloud in a more secure manner.  Equinix Cloud Exchange is an advanced interconnection solution that enables seamless, on-demand and secure direct-access to multiple clouds from multiple networks in Equinix International Business Exchange™ (IBX®) data centers around the world.
