Bringing with him more than 25 years of experience in telecommunications across the globe, Fatato will be responsible for setting out Red Hat’s vision for the EMEA telecommunications (telecom) market and overseeing the execution of this strategy across sales and marketing. This includes expanding and consolidating the partner ecosystem within which Red Hat is able to support the requirements of its growing telecoms customer base. Fatato joins Red Hat from HP, where he served as general manager for its Operations Support System (OSS) portfolio worldwide, and previously held positions at Cisco and Accenture.
As pressure increases on the telecoms industry to meet heightening customer demands and to adapt to a fast pace of technology change, Red Hat sees a significant opportunity to support network equipment providers (NEPs) and communications service providers (CSPs) with its platforms and solutions that are carrier-grade, proven, and predictable in mission-critical telecom environments. Red Hat’s unique value is to deliver technology based on open source software and industry hardware that is cost-effective, flexible, and that enables faster innovation and quicker time to market. With this proposition, Red Hat is well positioned to help the telecoms community as it looks to open systems such as NFV and OpenStack to help to simplify, unify, and update complex infrastructure without disrupting the always-on quality of experience-driven business.
