Built on Ubuntu OpenStack, the world’s most popular OpenStack distribution  and using Canonical’s application modelling service Juju as well as Canonical’s Bare Metal - as a Service (MaaS) which allows quick and easy provisioning, orchestration, and management of cloud resources. Clouds can be built on-premise or in dedicated colocation environments in e-shelter data centers.

“We see increasing demand from customers looking for a managed private cloud solution,” said Arturo Suarez, Product Manager, Canonical Cloud.  ”Hosted BootStack will allow customers to bypass time consuming, costly decisions of datacenter location, hardware and management solutions, instead choosing a fast, reliable and fully managed by experts, cloud infrastructure for their business.”

“We are excited to expand our strategic relationship with Canonical as our strong partner for managed private cloud solution based on OpenStack,” said Toan Nguyen, Director Colocation Services and Cloud Platform, e-shelter. “Enterprises rely on Canonical to transform their businesses and we are thrilled Canonical has chosen e-shelter as their data center partner, helping them continue to scale, add new services and maintain their incredible momentum.”

In addition e-shelter will integrate its “e-connect” platform to offer carrier-neutral, flexible and scalable connectivity between all e-shelter locations and ensure multi-location end-to- end access solutions with all major cloud providers enabling customers to utilize the flexibility of hybrid and multi-cloud solutions.
