ATTO Technology will be introducing the new, VMware Ready™ Certified
XstreamCORE™ storage controller at this year’s VMworld, August 28-31 in Las Vegas. The revolutionary new storage controller makes virtualization even easier and more efficient and is sure to be the talk of the show.
XstreamCORE storage controllers are storage-independent devices, engineered with an open design, enable SAS storage to be connected and shared in a Fibre Channel storage area network (SAN), accelerating SSD and spinning disk bandwidth up to 6.4 GB/s and 1.5 million 4K IOPS per pair.
What makes XstreamCORE different than other storage controllers is a pair of industry-leading technologies designed to allow storage architects to build highly scalable, shared storage solutions that take advantage of commodity flash and capacity storage, enabling systems builders to manage up to 960 flash devices from a single pane of glass.
XstreamCORE also features hardware data mover offload, which reads and writes data directly between storage and the controller to offload the host server, fabric and network resources, resulting in the transfer of data within minutes, not hours, in virtualized environments.
XstreamCORE’s power comes from:
- xCORE Data Acceleration technology, featuring multiple parallel I/O acceleration engines with end-to-end I/O processing, hardware buffer allocation management, deterministic latency and real-time performance and latency analytics, resulting in very high, reliable throughput and less than four microseconds of latency
- eCORE Control Engine, which adds common, open storage services and integrates with industry standard APIs to handle reservations, storage routing and host and LUN mapping functions while also managing traffic for data mover offload functions with error handling and diagnostic tools
- XstreamVIEW™ system manager, the storage controller’s interface, which allows administrators to remotely manage, set up and configure XstreamCORE while providing performance metrics, data mover traffic statistics and mapping and diagnostic tools
