Virtual Instruments names industry Veteran Ray Villeneuve President

New executive to help drive global market expansion strategy for infrastructure performance analytics leader.

Virtual Instruments says that industry veteran Ray Villeneuve has joined the company as president. Villeneuve is a seasoned enterprise IT executive and is charged with driving corporate strategy and expanding the company’s market opportunity worldwide.
 
With more than 30 years of experience, Villeneuve has a strong track record of turning IT infrastructure companies into market leaders. He is well respected for his global expansion success, and his ability to raise venture capital and drive shareholder value. He was previously the CEO of Skytree, an enterprise-class machine learning company. Prior to that, Villeneuve was vice president of corporate development and general manager of the cloud storage acceleration business for Riverbed Technology, which was acquired by NetApp. Previously he was CEO of MonoSphere, a predictive analytics software company focused on IT infrastructure, which was acquired by Dell (Quest). He has also held senior executive positions at storage industry innovators NetApp and Auspex Systems.
