Barnardo’s selects Nexthink

Children’s charity utilises IT Analytics to improve incident management and service delivery.

Barnardo’s, one of the UK’s leading children’s charities, has selected Nexthink to provide greater insight into its IT infrastructure. By utilising IT analytics, the charity aims to accurately measure the end-user experience to improve the efficiency of incident management and service delivery.

Barnardo’s works with more than 240,000 children, young people and their families each year, and its mission is to transform the lives of the UK’s most vulnerable children. With over 900 services running nationwide, the charity relies on 15,000 volunteers and 8,500 employees in over 1,700 locations across Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Nexthink V6 proactively monitors the entire IT infrastructure and reports on important end-user related events, such as performance issues, failures, crashes, and security issues. Nexthink’s real-time and historical record of the usage and performance of IT services from the end-user perspective provides IT organisations with unique visualisations and actionable insight.

“Barnardo’s IT estate is extensive and is the backbone of the critical services we deliver to vulnerable children 24/7, 365 days a year,” said Mark Bassett, Head of IT Service Management at Barnardo’s. “We were looking for a solution to provide the visibility of our infrastructure from the end-user perspective that would enable the IT Service Desk to better diagnose issues and improve troubleshooting for greater end-user satisfaction.”

“We are proud to collaborate with Barnardo’s and help the charity improve the level of service delivered to its dedicated staff,” said Steven Little, Country Manager Northern Europe, Nexthink. Nexthink’s IT Analytics provide real-time reporting and intelligence to help the Service Desk and incident management teams take a more proactive approach that will save valuable time. This, in turn, will enable the charity to ensure the availability of services, campaigning and research expertise to transform the lives of the most vulnerable children.”
