Akamai Technologies is opening an additional UK office in the Soho area of central London. This will not only provide the company with a centrally located resource centre designed to offer maximum flexibility for employees, and to accommodate diverse meeting and event requirements, but to also house a cutting-edge Network Operations Command Centre (NOCC) which will connect with Akamai’s other Network Operations, Broadcast Operations and Security Operations Centres internationally.
The new London office will support Akamai’s other UK offices in Addlestone, Surrey and Edinburgh, Scotland, providing easily configurable space for customer appointments, training programmes and larger-scale events. This significant investment in the new premises at Air Street, W1, demonstrates Akamai’s commitment to its growing EMEA business.
Natalie Billingham, Vice President EMEA Media & UK MD at Akamai, said: “There are so many advantages to a central London office, from our ability to host meetings and increase Executive Briefing Centre (EBC) bookings, through to offering a place for our London based employees to work between appointments and attracting valuable talent from the capital. Soho is vibrant, creative, close to many of our customers and forms a fantastic backdrop for our continued expansion across EMEA.”

Akamai is experiencing strong growth in its EMEA operations and continues to be an influential global leader in web and mobile performance, cloud security and media delivery solutions.  Maintaining three locations in the UK gives Akamai the flexibility to boost its ongoing recruitment drive, enhance its support for customers and partners and embrace increasing business opportunities in the EMEA region.
