From 5 to 500 employees, Six Degrees Group celebrates fifth anniversary

Six Degrees Group (“6DG”), the converged technology infrastructure provider, has grown from 5 to 500 employees and passed the ?100m revenue milestone in its first five years.

Since it was founded by CEO Alastair Mills, the company has pioneered a converged technology approach, accelerated through:
·      Development of complex solutions, such as its Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) offering
·      Expansion of energy-efficient data centre space, growth of cloud platforms and roll-out of a Next Generation Network
·      Acquisition of specialist providers such as Capital Support, Carrenza and Insite to expand its portfolio and build on its expertise.
Alongside growth in the infrastructure market, the company has fostered an inspiring CSR culture, raising nearly ?400,000 for WeSeeHope, a charity supporting children orphaned or isolated by extreme poverty in Southern and Eastern Africa, and achieved the prestigious Investors in People Silver accreditation.

In the next year, 6DG will further develop market-leading application monitoring, managed compliance and security-as-as-service solutions whilst continuing to expand its public cloud integration services for Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
Mills said: “Six Degrees has achieved a great deal in its first five years with a healthy mix of organic and acquisitive growth. For the coming years, we will focus on three things: firstly, to be innovative in the solutions we create to help us to look after our customers’ mission-critical technologies; secondly, to enhance our customer experience to deliver a more personalised service; and finally, to nurture a great company culture that attracts and develops talented people.”
